Are motor guide trolling motors on par with Minn Kota?

Im talking about the lower end models (less than $200) transom mount models with 50 or less pounds of thrust.|||hey man, there will be people that will say that minn kota is better than motor guide and there will be others that will say that motor guide is better than minn kota in my personal opinion they are the same in many ways. both are durable, last for a long time, and both dont pull too much power from your battery. both are great motors and both will give your years of performance. which ever one you choose will be a great choice. so if i was in your shoes and stuck between picking one over the other, it would be down to the price of the motor

my personal opinion i would just find the lowest priced on. both are great troll motors. most of the time you can pick up a minn kota at the walmart for a whole lot cheaper price. that is your call though. not my wallet. hope this helps you out a bit good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience|||Not sure that I understand your question but, if your askin' if their interchangeable ~ sorry but that's be a no. A' lot will have ta' do with personal preference but, to reiterate, them Motor Guides did me quite well and still do. Whatever brand ya' go with ~ get it soon because hopefully Mother Nature goin' ta' be good at us with them waters which in turn ='s good fisheee's;)...|||i personally love motorguide over minn kota because my friends have minn kota and it got corroded so fast in saltwater and it was a saltwater model too but i had my motorguide for maybe 2 and a half years and no corrosion yet|||I have both , a Motorguide on the bow and a Minncota on the rear. I have had them for over 20 years. Both work very well.|||They boh work the same everybody I know either has one or the other and have never had any complaints out of them it's just your own personal preference.
