Will my trolling motor be big enough?

I have a 15 foot aluminum boat with a 20 hp motor will a 45 minn kota edge be big enough to push it around wile fishing?Will my trolling motor be big enough?
45 foot lbs??? that would be more than enough, unless you and your friends are really fat. Just messing wit ya. A 36 ft lbs trolling motor is normal for that size boat. you can use a 20 ft lbs trolling motor, it wont get around fast but the battery lasts longer. If your 20 hp is electric start it will charge the battery some while running, but not much. Just your keep your battery run time in mind. the more thrust the trolling motor has even at a low speed the less run time fishing. TIGHT LINESWill my trolling motor be big enough?
