Minn kota endura 50 outboard engine?

on fishing trip capsized boat , outboard completely submerged now not working, any info i.e is it repairable, what could be wrong with it,can it survive being fully submerged. thanksMinn kota endura 50 outboard engine?
Minn kota makes a very tough trolling motor. If your o rings were in good shape and it wasn't submersed for a very long period of time, it should be ok to use. Just make sure the switches and speed controls have had a chance to dry thoroughly before using it. Some WD-40 sprayed onto electrical parts will help immensely.

Remember these motors were made to run partially submerged.

You will need to take engine off of boat, remove spark plug, point spark plug hole downward and hand rotate engine until water is out. Spray into cylinders a small amount of wd-40. Remove carburater bowl and get water out. If it has a starter motor will have water in it to so try not to use it until it is cleaned. Once water is removed from engine and carb. , reinstall back onto boat and using the rope (after priming the engine) try to start the engine. Without running in water do not run more than 3-4 seconds. As soon as possible, it will need to be run for 15 - 20 minutes at full throttle to clear all moisture from the system.

I'm pretty sure you can fix your motor. I've got a 38 Endura and found a local dealer/service. on the internet to get parts. the one I talked to where very helpful answering my questions. After all they are just a electric motor with a propeller. I run mine into a gravel bar and It just Quit. I tore it apart and found the brushes were gone. I just put in new ones and runs like new.
