i have a 55lb / 36 in shaft transom mount it has a speed problem all the speeds work except speed 2 and all the other speeds seem to be slower than there suppose to be ?? any ideas what it can be?Minn kota trolling motor speed problem?
foot control or tiller?
inspect the speed controller, look for corrosion on the contact points.
does it have a high-speed bypass and does it work at all?
Inspect the prop shaft, look for fishing line or vegetation wrapped around it. Also inspect the wiring on the boat from the battery to the socket. Check the battery, maybe have it load tested.Minn kota trolling motor speed problem?
could be a bad switch or resistor(s),could be a bad motor or wired wrong,etc,etc. probably the switch,maybe #2wire is corroded or something.
volt meters are handy when checking these things
