the prop still spins freely by hand.the battery is charged,does the switch inside that controls forward and reverse ever go?there's nothing in the hub to stop it from turning on.
|||Yes the switch does go bad. Now that it is isolated to problem of the switch, or a connection inside the unit or a bad winding in the motor, take the unit apart at the switch and inspect it and test it with an ohm meter. If you are careful, you might try to connect the motor directly to the power leads. Connect one side and then touch the other side to the other lead. Put a 10 amp fuse in the line to prevent a fire. This should give you more info on what you need to replace.
